History

Vangard Vault Company, Inc. was founded by Robert Williams Sr. back in 1956. During that year, Mr. Williams also owned and operated Williams Casket Company where he assembled and delivered caskets daily for local clients. WCC was founded by his parents in the early 1920's on the south side of Chicago. Robert Williams Sr. began working for his parents as a young man shortly after his service in the military. After many years in the death care industry, Mr. Williams decided to move from manufacturing caskets to manufacturing concrete burial vaults. As it may seem this was no easy task. He will credit Vangard’s success to hard work and relationship building.
